Secretary Report: Hopefully everyone is receiving emails. The group said no changes were needed on September minutes.
Treasurer: We are looking for a new Treasurer. We also need to get additional signers on the bank account. Kim has offered to run for Treasurer. Sue and Misty have additional money that needs deposited once we have a new treasurer on board at the bank.
Elections: We do have elections for our board – currently Treasurer, Secretary, and 4 leadership members. We would love to get more people involved in planning the future direction of the group. If you are interested in a position, please reach out to Peggy Arvay pjarvay@gmail.com to be put on the ballot. We also might be open to expanding the board if people are interested. A return to President/Vice President would be ideal if we have volunteers (I think a president would have more help than in the past, given our current board arrangements). Board members attend planning meetings (about one per quarter) and sign up to run meetings – which can involve doing a presentation or just setting up for someone to do a presentation.
Show Recap- Thanks to Misty and Shellie for another sucessful show. There were 174 photos on display, 120 visitors were counted. The raffle raised $450. People’s choice went to Shellie with “Freckles”, and she also won the Best Booth award. We are discussing doing a workshop next fall instead of a show
Fairfield County Fair: Drop off Saturday at 10 am. Pick up will be Sunday the 16th at 1pm. Please be prompt, and let someone know if you will need your pictures picked up for you.
November meeting – Shellie – Real estate Photography
December – change of plans – we have decided to go back to our “Holiday Party” and Bev, Misty, Kim, and Bonnie J. will be our party planners for the evening. Thanks for volunteering.
