Treasurers Report – Larry not present.

Library show. 4 pictures got 4 votes each: Julie Moskal Tall Pines, Pretty in Pink Kim Hartman, Sing me a Song (Cardinals) Bev Johnston, Sail Away Sue Finch, Sue’s picture was the entry that was randomly drawn and a matted print was delivered to the library for the winner.

Do we want to do the Summer reading program show next year. If so Leslie will get the category to us as soon as she knows – vote – the majority of those present said they would do the show. I will contact Leslie and get us on the list.

Art Walk. Went well. Had some small sales. A few sales were made the following week and Bonnie Johnson sold a framed picture off the wall on the last Sunday, so leaving the display up for people to ponder was worthwhile. Peoples choice award goes to the Hartmans for their Barn in Fall printed on metal. Ideas for next year – longer table cloths to cover items stashed below them, food (church will probably provide) assuming covid isn’t much of a concern by then. We will be writing up a standard operating procedure so things are easier next year.

.org Website Domain has been renewed $18.99 . the .com now says expiring in 2023.

Fall Olivedale Show – September 10th and 11th. Set up will be September 8th probably from 4-7. Judging categories will be: People, Nature, Architecture, Historical, Black and White, Wings, Judges are lined up and Sue will have flyers to pass out at the Art Walk. Misty and Shellie are running the show again this fall. Thank you.

Class ideas? We had several suggestions on the notecards: Camera Settings, Photoshop editing, Colors in a picture, low light photography, cell phone photography, On a budget, water drops, budget props, Posing (2 people mentioned), pet photography, Use of Mat cutter and matting prints, real estate photography, Marketing strategies (2 people mentioned), Different lenses and what they are used for, How to avoid blurry photos, focus modes on cameras, fine art photography.

If anyone is willing to teach any of these subjects (at the show or a meeting) please reach out to Sue so we can get it on the schedule. Some have been done recently – Lens choice – Sue at the 2021 Fall show, Cell phone Photography – Jo at the Spring 2022 show
